Whatever the temperature is in Phoenix, it will be at least 20 degrees cooler in Show Lowā€“
days are warm but evenings can be quite chilly! Layers are recommended along with clothes that are ready for play.

There are lots of activities hanging around the ranch like Hiking, Basketball, Disc Golf, Ping Pong, Foosball, Axe Throwing, ATVā€™s, Picnics, & Pickleball. Make sure to pack accordingly!

Where to stay

Phoenix (and it's surrounding cities) have many amazing opportunities for luxurious resorts and unique AirBNB's. This could be an opportunity to explore and experience more of Arizona!

However, if you'd like to stay in close proximity to our office, the Hilton Garden Inn in Chandler is our recommendation. Someone from our team will be doing a 8:15 AM pick up at the Hilton on Monday morning. Book here

FAQ's

Will there be internet/CEll phone service?

You do know we're a tech company, right? šŸ˜‚ But, yes, there is internet. The ranch is on has Starlink (the SpaceX Elon Musk powered low flying satellite internet) that gets speeds over 100Mbps. AND, we're also near cell towers. We want you to unplug and enjoy the beauty of nature, but we also understand that sometimes work calls and we'll have free time for you to take care of whatever you need to.

WHAT DAYS AND/OR TIMES SHOULD I BOOK FLIGHTS?

Things get kicked off early Monday morning at Showit HQ. You're free to make your flight for whatever day or time gets you there when you need to be. If you come in Sunday, we recommend checking out the Tru Hilton close to our offices. 

When you're booking your flights to leave, realize that the ranch is over 3 hours
away from the Phoenix area/Showit offices. So it's best to book your flight out in the late afternoon (after 2pm) or evening on Thursday.

WHERE WILL I BE SLEEPING/STAYING AT RIVENDALE?

Rivendale has 5 different places to stay with multiple rooms and beds in each. We assign rooms based on who's coming and what's available. 

But, rest assured every option is comfy, cozy and warmed with the hearts of our Showit staff...Care Bear style (okay, maybe it's warmed with a heater). The point is this isn't camping. This isn't even glamping. This is like staying at a normal resort (All linens/sheets provided).

If you have preferences on where or with whom you'd like to stay please let us know. We can't guarantee that we'll be able to accommodate BUT we'd love to hear from you nonetheless.

WHAT EXACTLY WILL WE BE DOING?

This isn't like a normal conference. The agenda is somewhat flexible AND open to change. Our main goal is really to connect with you and for you to build relationships with us and other Design Partners.

That being said, there are some things that we have planned while you're here with us.

Monday is all about Showit HQ. We'll bring you to our offices and you'll get to experience a bit of what we do day to day. You'll also get to see some new features we're working on that no one else has seen.

From there we'll drive up to Rivendale where the games will begin! Literally, there are games. That's all we'll say about that for now šŸ˜‰

But, it won't just be all games. You'll also get insight from Showit staff AND other design partners during some of the sessions.

And, of course there will be plenty of time for food and hangs where you're welcome to strike up a conversation or go get murdered by Todd in Pickle Ball and/or Ping Pong.

WHAT'S THE FOOD SITUATION GOING TO BE LIKE?

We'll be taking care of all your meals once you make it to us on Monday morning until breakfast on Thursday. Most meals in Rivendale will be at the main house. BUT, there will be some restaurant visits as well.

If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

(ALSO, for you coffee lovers, the ranch has a great espresso machine available to use. It's fancy and really good.)

Yes! We're asking our Design Partners to come with a small presentation to share with everyone else. It doesn't have to be anything fancy (BUT it can be if you want).

Prepare for a 5 minute presentation on a topic of your choice. You don't have to make slides, But we will have a set up for you to share your screen.

Having trouble picking a topic? Try and think of your secret sauce as a Designer. What makes you unique? What's something that you've really dialed in or are really good at?
